Nakedness and Righteousness in the Bible

The Bible often associates clothing with righteousness, whereas nakedness is seen as a symbol of sin and the shame that accompanies it. The righteous are described as being adorned in fine linen (as noted in Revelation 19:8), while those who are sinful are shown in various states of undress (see Isaiah 47:2-3; Ezekiel 16:36; Revelation 3:17).
